Artist in Wilderness was created in 2008 in memory of Dottie Fox who was one of the three women who founded Wilderness Workshop as a pro-active organization many years ago. The seed money for this project comes from a fund established in her memory.
Dottie was a watercolor artist of note, and teacher in our Roaring Fork Valley for many years and an outspoken advocate for the preservation and conservation of wilderness.
There will be NO fall competition, but there will be a winter week for photographers in 2011. In addition, this will be followed by competitions in spring and fall of 2011 – medium to be announced.
